Knightscope K5 Security Robot

Description

I got to see Knightscope’s K5 autonomous security robot on Microsoft’s Bellevue campus. It had four cameras and a LiDAR sensor mounted on top.

Specifications

The K5 stands five feet tall and weighs 300 pounds. It uses HD cameras, laser scanners, and thermal imaging, and operates on a 24-hour cycle with a charging station near its patrol area.

Usage

It patrols the campus, parking areas, and garages to provide a visible security presence and monitor activity.
